Tourist’s flocking to England’s capital city will no doubt arrive in search of iconic landmarks like Big Ben, the London Eye, and Tower Bridge, but when you’re not sightseeing, where are the best places to eat and drink, I hear you ask?
Well, the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards have made it pretty damn easy to sniff out the best alcohol in town. Dubbed ‘the Oscars of the cocktail making world,’ the Spirited Awards recognize the best bars, bartenders, distillers and more, searching for talent across the globe.
The Dandelyan, part of the Mondrian Boutique Hotel, which is situated on London’s Southbank, came out top - picking up awards not just for being the ‘World’s Best Cocktail Bar,’ but also for being the ‘Best International Bar Team’ and the ‘Best International Hotel Bar’. But what makes it so special?
The cocktails you’ll find here are something pretty special, both in terms of their flavor and aesthetic. Expect to taste colorful cocktail during your visit, including the Vitruvian Rose Spritz - made with sunflower and chocolate vermouth, and the All Tomorrow’s Parties - made with Kew Gardens organic gin, toasted rice, green tea, grapefruit and soy sugar.
The mastermind behind these genius creations is former scientist, Mr. Lyan, (also known as Ryan Chetiyawardana), who takes inspiration from botany and the British countryside. Also on the menu are a selection of 70s inspired treats, including delicate cakes and pastries.
